Whispers

Along Gamla Gatan, we meet a work with fragments from conversations that the artist has apprehended at this site. When people hurry past, speaking with each other or on the phone, the passing viewer can catch fragments of stories. These can be pivotal to those concerned – and yet completely irrelevant to outsiders. Kenne–Diss lets the words take shape, anonymous to all but the person who once spoke them.

The work is both playful and serious. Perhaps you recognize yourself – or something deeply universal. The artist wants to reach out and touch every single person, penetrate the thick wall he believes often exists between art and onlookers.
