1960, Great Britain, based in Norway

As a sculptor and land art artist, Stuart Ian Frost's work can be characterized by an awareness of ecology, sustainability and how art can stimulate dialogues and develop relationships between man and nature. Throughout Frost's artistic career, he has sought out specific locations in different countries and carried out site-specific projects. Frost has searched for each chosen location's identifiable characteristics and qualities, such as history, topography, architecture, culture and raw materials. Like "searching through ruins," he looks for anything that might be of interest. These relationships at different scales are the basis of his artwork.
